Yerunakovskaya-8 coal mine on fire, workers evacuated

MOSCOW, Oct 10 (PRIME) -- The above-ground level of the Yerunakovskaya-8 coal mine in the Kemerovo Region caught fire on Tuesday, and the miners are being evacuated, the regional office of the Emergency Ministry said.

"A mining rescuer team has departed towards the Yerunakovskaya-8 mine in the town of Uzkovo in the Novokuznetsk Municipal District, where a reserve degasifying unit above ground caught fire. The miners are being evacuated," the statement read.
